Ariana Grande Snuck In A Tribute To The Manchester Tragedy In Her New Video

posted by James Dinh

Ariana Grande returned to the scene on Friday (April 20) with a shimmery pop single called “No Tears Left To Cry,” and the accompanying eye-popping video takes viewers into a fantastical landscape. While there is no overt mention of the Manchester Arena tragedy that took the lives of 22 people at her concert in May 2017, the star did sneak in a noble tribute to the tragedy at the end of the Dave Meyers-directed clip.As the final scene closes the four-minute video, viewers see the pop singer sitting beside a river as a worker bee flys into view towards the camera. The bee was included in the clip as a symbol of strength and unity for Manchester as folks even got it tattooed on themselves in wake of the attack last May. “No Tears Left To Cry” was produced by Max Martin and Swedish songwriter ILYA (who worked on much of Grande’s Dangerous Woman LP), and was co-written by Grande, Martin, ILYA, and Savan Kotecha. It will appear on the singer’s fourth studio album, which is set to be released later this year.
